Playing with something means surrendering to the object of play. In a sense, the player invests their libido in the object they're playing with. Play becomes a magical process for awakening life. Playing means building a bridge between one's imagination and reality through the magical action of their libido. Play is a ritual of entry, and it prepares the way.
