DREAMS OF DEBUTANTS
Performance/Vide documentation of Performance

The work explores the exchange between the artistic and the non-artistic. In the gallery, a body appears that does not usually belong there, while the artist takes on its everyday function. This intervention examines how the environment changes the meaning of the work and its perception. The swapping of roles creates tension between recognized and invisible labor.
At a family celebration, I meet a Dajana Čubrilović who, out of pure curiosity, reenacts all of my performances in her dining room. This coincidence becomes the central point of my interest. I decide that we should switch roles: she performs my piece in the gallery, while I take over her shift at work. Through this gesture, I explore the boundaries of identity, labor, and representation—where art begins and where everyday life ends.
